horizontal feed mixer operation guide: ensure the uniformity of the mixture and the efficient operation of the equipment

1. Preparation before mixing
Before using the horizontal feed mixer, you must first make sufficient preparations. This includes checking whether the various parts of the mixer are intact, whether the transmission system is flexible and reliable, and whether the mixing chamber is clean and free of foreign matter. At the same time, it is necessary to accurately weigh various raw materials according to the feed formula to ensure the accuracy of the raw materials and the correctness of the proportion. In addition, it is also an essential step to inspect and maintain the lubrication system and cooling system of the mixer, which helps to extend the service life of the equipment and improve the mixing efficiency.

2. Observation and adjustment during mixing
When all the raw materials are put into the mixing chamber, start the horizontal feed mixer and start the mixing process. During this process, the operator should pay close attention to the following key points:

Uniformity of the mixture: Check the state of the mixture regularly through the observation window or sampling port of the mixer. The ideal mixing effect is that the various raw materials are fully mixed to form a uniform mixture with consistent color and no obvious stratification or agglomeration. If the mixture is still found to have obvious stratification or agglomeration, it means that the mixing time is insufficient or the mixing intensity is insufficient. At this time, the mixing time can be appropriately extended or the mixing speed can be adjusted until the mixture reaches the ideal uniform state.
Operation status of the mixer: At the same time, the operator should also pay attention to the operation status of the mixer, including the current change of the motor, the temperature of the bearing, and whether there is abnormal sound. If the motor current is abnormally high, the bearing temperature is too high, or there is abnormal noise, the mixer should be stopped for inspection immediately to avoid equipment damage or safety accidents. In addition, the load of the mixer is also an important basis for judging whether the mixing is sufficient. As the mixing progresses, if the mixture gradually becomes uniform, the load of the mixer will also decrease accordingly, which is a signal of good mixing effect.
3. Judgment and subsequent processing of the end of mixing
When the mixture has become very uniform and the load of the mixer gradually decreases to a stable state, you can consider stopping the mixing. At this time, the mixer power should be turned off quickly to avoid over-mixing causing overheating of the feed or excessive wear of the equipment. After the shutdown, the mixer needs to be cleaned and maintained as necessary to prepare for the next use.

In addition, after mixing, the quality of the mixed feed should be checked, including moisture content, nutrient composition analysis, etc., to ensure that the feed meets the predetermined quality standards. For feed that does not meet the requirements, the formula should be adjusted or re-mixed in time to ensure that each batch of feed can achieve the best use effect.
