Summer Feed Storage Key Points

1. Correctly select the storage location: the feed storage warehouse should be high, dry, cool, well ventilated and easy to drain. The surrounding walls and the ground should be plastered with cement. The packaging, feed tanks and barrels for holding feed should be disinfected. The feed should not be in direct contact with the ground and walls during storage.

2. Control the moisture content of feed and raw materials: The moisture content of feed and raw materials should be strictly controlled within a safe range to prevent heating, oxidation, caking and mildew.

3. Strengthen ventilation, control temperature and humidity: Low temperature, low humidity and good ventilation conditions are conducive to feed storage. The temperature in the storage room should be reduced as much as possible to maintain good ventilation.

4. De-rat and insecticide: rats and insects will consume feed, cause the local temperature and humidity of feed to rise, and cause feed to caking and mold. Raticide and mousetrap should be used for de-ratification. If the feed is found to be infested with insects, it should be handled in time.

6. Pay attention to the safe storage period of feed: When the feed is stored for a long time, it should be checked regularly, turned up and ventilated in time, and problems should be dealt with in time. When using it, the principle of old first and new later should be followed. It is not advisable to purchase too much materials or ingredients at one time, and feed or raw materials should not be stored for too long.
